Yulianto “Lincoln” Liu (he/him) joined Aramark after serving in the California Army National Guard for eight years. While in the Guard, he was assigned to the 340th Alpha Company Brigade Support Battalion based in Seaside, California and worked as an Automated Logistical Specialist.
He joined Aramark as a General Manager in our Workplace Experience Group, managing the Food 2.0 program at Travis Air Force Base in Solano County, California. He credits his prior connection to the military with leading him to his current role with Aramark.
Having built a wide network of peers over the span of his career, Lincoln first became introduced to Aramark by connecting with our Military Initiatives Program Manager Jennifer Goodman (she/her) on LinkedIn.
“That’s when I started to learn more about Aramark through [her] personal LinkedIn and started to grow my interest to work for this company. The program I now manage here at Travis Air Force Base is a prime example of an excellent collaboration between Aramark and the United States Air Force.”
As for advice Lincoln would like to share with other transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses, he says, “Don’t be shy.”
“Sometimes opportunities come around when you least expect them. The experience and skills that you gain from the military is very valuable, and do not hesitate to apply them in the civilian world. The discipline and our sense of loyalty and respect are among our core strengths, and these core values are very much respected at Aramark.”
