Catering Sales Manager - Aventura Catering

Job Description

The Catering Sales Manager, Aventura Catering at the Phoenix Convention Center, will collaborate closely with the Sales Director to manage convention, corporate, and social catering accounts. 
•    The primary goal is to achieve or exceed revenue targets while ensuring the successful execution of events. 
•    This role offers a base salary with the potential for local monthly commissions based on performance metrics.

Job Responsibilities

•    Build and nurture relationships with existing clients, supporting both recurring events and one-time groups.
•    Promptly respond to customer inquiries and requests.
•    Create and present proposals and contracts tailored to client needs.
•    Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance revenue through upselling and additional services that exceed client expectations.
•    Collaborate with on-site event planners to ensure a seamless and e event experience.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or equivalent professional experience.
•    1-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specifically in catering sales.
•    Familiarity with major convention centers, convention hotels, or large social markets.
•    Strong organizational and presentation skills.
•    Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging with a diverse range of clients and team members.
•    Knowledgeable in menu planning and food presentation.
•    Experienced in banquet and event service operations.
•    Capable of managing multiple tasks while demonstrating creativity and a proactive sales approach.
•    Strong project management skills with a focus on communication.
•    Ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
•    Attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
•    Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
•    Comfortable making decisions and negotiating effectively.
•    Ability to take direction while also working independently.
•    Committed to providing exceptional guest service.
