Job Description

Accounting Manager- Destinations & Sector Consolidation 
As the Destinations Accounting Manager, you will support the Director of Accounting in coordinating the general accounting functions of the Destinations line of business and consolidation of Sector reporting. You will manage a team of Accountants and Senior Accountants by overseeing month-end close, maintaining account reconciliation processes, and interacting with multiple levels of field and operations management. You will coordinate and facilitate annual parks audits by working with outside audit firms and ensuring timely submission of financial statements. This role provides the opportunity to be part of an innovative accounting team that drives process improvement within the business and group and provides valuable insight through the interpretation of data. This position reports to the Destinations Director of Accounting within Aramark’s Accounting department at the Global Business Services office in Nashville, Tennessee.  Please note this role will be a hybrid schedule – 2/3 days per week in office in either Philadelphia, PA or Nashville, TN.

Job Responsibilities

  •  Managing team of accountants and/or senior accountants
  • Support of Sector reporting function includes consolidation of balance sheet on a quarterly basis and documentation of fluctuations to ensure relevant risks and opportunities are appropriately communicated
  •  Reviewing account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with US GAAP
  • Reviewing and assessing technical accounting positions, drafting position papers as necessary
  • Responsible for preparation and review of quarterly financial reporting
  • Coordination of audits with outside audit firm and internal operators and ensuring timely submission
  • Reviewing balance sheet fluctuations, inclusive of inventory trends and exceptions and working with leadership to understand drivers
  • Monitoring and advising on the control environment within the business
  • Performing adhoc projects at the request of the Accounting Director, US Controller, VP of Finance, or other organizational leadership
  • Assess current accounting operations and resource capacity, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing new processes where deemed appropriate
  •  Understanding and interpreting contract language

Qualifications


•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
•    CPA strongly preferred
•     5+ years of experience in audit or accounting  experience required
•    Strong organizational and communication skills
•    Strong understanding of US GAAP
•    Experience with Oracle EBS and Blackline preferred, but not required
