Job Description

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is headquartered in Washington, DC. FDIC’s Virginia Square campus, including the L. William Seidman Center, is a multi-building complex located in Arlington, Virginia. Amenities at the Virginia Square campus include a fitness center, cafeteria, two large auditoriums, and classrooms with state-of-the-art audio/visual resources utilized by FDIC employees and state banking agencies. The campus includes a 350-room extended-stay style residence center for students and instructors attending classes at the Virginia Square campus. Situated on 9.5 acres, the Virginia Square campus is a short drive from FDIC's headquarters in Washington, D.C. It is easily accessible by public transportation at the Virginia Square Metro stop on the Orange Line. Both FDIC locations host training, meetings, and corporate events.

As the Audio Visual Coordinator I lead all aspects of maintenance, setup, and operation of all Audio Visual equipment. The Audio Visual Coordinator I will respond to requests for assistance when problems arise with any piece of AV equipment. This person should maintain knowledge of the latest AV technology to ensure the usage of the finest equipment and functionality.

Job Responsibilities

•    Responsible for identifying acoustical problems, crafting and implementing solutions as needed
•    Responsible for the delivery of audio/visual equipment including set-up, break down, and storage
•    Maintains daily work schedule by supervising adjustments to A/V equipment for scheduled meetings and/or AV use
•    Properly transports equipment from meeting rooms to dedicated storage locations with respect to time constraints and inventory control
•    Maintains an accurate record of usage of equipment by customers and inputs that information into the daily invoicing system
•    Maintains positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. and provides excellent customer service
•    Ensures security of company assets
•    Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures
•    Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

•    Prior audio-visual experience preferred
•    Detailed knowledge of audio-visual hardware and software
•    Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills
•    Highly organized and detail-focused
•    Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 50 lbs. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Education

High School Diploma
Minimum 1-2 years experience
