The purchasing manager communicate with NDOC relating to products and inventory needs. The purchasing
manager will be available as needed to ensure that this project is running smoothly. They call all local vendors
and even the local produce companies if needed. The purchasing manager discusses all of the Department’s
needs with the vendors, homing in on the delivery days and hours. The purchasing manager is NDOC’s point
of contact for all orders, emergencies, products, and prices.
Place food supply orders for outlined locations using marketPRO web-based ordering system.
– Ensure compliance to specified products.
– Responsible for managing all concerns with the delivery of food products to the client locations.
– Research supply and distribution issues both internal to Aramark, as well as client and operator concerns.
– Assisting in generating, evaluating, and presenting analysis on the Aramark food management system
(PRIMA Web) usage reports.
– Monitor and evaluate regional supplier performance.
– Participate in district meetings and client/customer meetings as required.
– Protect Aramark’s reputation through strict adherence to highest ethical standards consistent with
company policy.
Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Understand supply/demand dynamics
• The ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate supply risk
• PRIMA subject matter expert, along with the compliance and productivity results within operations
