Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker / Facilities Maintenance Technician in Laguna Beach, California to support an art college campus spread across multiple facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of approximately 15 buildings across six campus locations. Daily work includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting building issues, repairing fixtures and equipment, and responding to service requests from faculty, staff, and students. We are seeking a dependable maintenance professional with hands-on trade experience who can work independently and solve problems efficiently. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and candidates should be comfortable performing physical work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $27.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs across approximately 15 campus buildings and 6 locations.
- Troubleshoot facility issues and identify practical solutions to maintain safe and functional operations.
- Complete preventative maintenance on building systems, fixtures, doors, windows, hardware, and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance service requests from faculty, staff, and students in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance needs and completed work.
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures, minor appliances, office equipment, and other building components.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of campus facilities, grounds, and common areas.
- Follow all Aramark and client safety procedures, including proper use of PPE when required.
- Communicate maintenance concerns, major repair needs, and recommended corrective actions to management.
- Assist with facility projects, moves, setup requests, and general campus maintenance activities.
- Work independently while supporting a positive customer service experience for students, faculty, visitors, and coworkers.

Qualifications

Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a skilled trade or maintenance-related field.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs in a variety of building maintenance areas.
- Experience using common maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute consistently to a remote campus location with limited access routes.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Preferred
- 5 or more years of experience in a skilled trade, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related field.
- Experience supporting educational, commercial, campus, or multi-building facilities.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and work order systems.
