Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker (Carpentry) in Parma, OH to support building maintenance and repair projects at a manufacturing facility. This position focuses primarily on carpentry work, including repairing structures, installing building components, and completing general facility maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry experience, owns their own basic tools, and can work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards. Most work is performed on first shift, although occasional alternate shifts may be required based on project needs. This is a physically active role suited for individuals with experience as a maintenance worker, carpenter, maintenance technician, facilities technician, or construction trades professional. Compensation for this position is $41.58 per hour.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $41.58 to $41.58. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of carpentry repairs and maintenance projects throughout the facility.
- Repair, install, and maintain doors, windows, walls, trim, cabinets, and other building components.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and related materials using hand and power tools.
- Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in assigned areas.
- Inspect buildings and facilities for maintenance needs and address issues safely and efficiently.
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures, hardware, and facility structures.
- Read basic drawings, measurements, and job specifications to complete assigned work.
- Use tools and equipment such as saws, drills, sanders, levels, ladders, and other carpentry-related equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store materials and tools.
- Follow all Aramark and client safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Communicate project status, repair needs, and material requirements to supervisors.
- Support general facilities maintenance tasks as needed across the site.

Qualifications

Required
- 1-2 years of carpentry, building maintenance, construction, or facility repair experience.
- Ability to perform a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations.
- Must provide and maintain personal basic carpentry tools.
- Experience using common hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and ladders.
- Ability to work primarily first shift and occasionally adjust schedule based on project requirements.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or commercial environment.
- Experience with drywall repair, framing, finish carpentry, or general building maintenance.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.
