Aramark is seeking a Chef Manager with a background in catering, banquets, and event execution. Reporting to the Catering Director, this role combines culinary leadership with team development, safety and sanitation, and client relations. You will play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and deliver exceptional experiences for our clients and their guests.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $63,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities


  • Lead culinary operations for all catering events including small coffee services, continental breakfasts, small lunches, up to large plated events for the University and our community.
  • Train , coach, and superviser culinary team members

  • Select and develop recipes, standardize production to ensure consistency and quality, estimate food costs, and oversee inventory

  • Manage multiple events simultaneously; around $2 million annually
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food

  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality

  • Participate in client tastings, menu consultations, and ensure exceptional food presentation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace saftey standards in accordance with Aramark standards, local, state, and federal guidelines
  • Support other operations around campus as needed including residential dining, retail, and more

Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in catering, banquet, event, hospitality, hotel, conference center, country club, or other large scale food service experience

  • Previous experience managing culinary teams in a catering or banquet environment is preferred

  • Culinary degree preferred

  • Experience executing events from small gatherings to large scale functions
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, as needed
