Hourly and Seasonal
We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Catering Sales Assistant. The position will support the Catering Sales Team with a variety of administrative task, in addition to managing in-house and small group events. The successful candidate will be creative, a problem solver, have a proven record of being a team player, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and the team.
Responsibilities include clerical and administrative activities to support the Sales team, insuring accurate and timely flow of information for the entire Aventura Catering team, as well as our vendors and clients. The event paperwork includes, but is not limited to:
• Catering service contracts
• Menu proposals and catering estimates
• Creation and revisions of Banquet Event Orders
• Managing third party vendor orders
• Invoices
• Answer telephone, emails and direct inquires in a professional and client centric manner
• Maintain confidential client/partner files.
• Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, the building partner(s), and clients.
• Complete and maintain accurate catering event calendar, catering orders and agreements, email communication with clients and/or the partner(s).
• Manage small group events, in-house events, tradeshow exhibitor catering services
• Experience in hospitality, events and/or catering.
• Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to prioritize assignments from a variety of sources and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.
• Proven attention to details and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
