Job Description

The Flex-time General Utility Worker I serves a variety of essential back of the house and front of house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles. The General Utility Worker is also required to maintain a safe sanitary work environment and required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment. 

Additionally, as a team member in the Aramark Flex program, you will have the opportunity to pick up shifts that fit your schedule using ReadyOn, a flex workforce app. Pick and choose which events you are interested in working, without fixed schedule requirements. Aramark’s flex-time roles are perfect for candidates who value flexibility and are comfortable signing up week-to-week. Wages may vary based on role or event needs, but will always be at or above the base rate in your offer letter.
 

Job Responsibilities

The position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperature 
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties 
• Attending in-house training sessions. 
• Maintaining personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations always. 
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy. 
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures. 
• Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to To assist chefs with the checking in of food deliveries ensuring that only the highest standards of produce is accepted into the units. 
• To ensure that all food storage align with food hygiene regulations and that stock rotation system is being followed. 
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture. 
• Preparation of service area and/or service points.

• Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.

Scheduling for this position will be managed through a flex workforce app, ReadyOn, in which shifts will be made available for you to select. There is no minimum guaranteed hours per week and hours will not exceed 25hrs/wk average annually.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
