Job Description

The Maintenance Planner & Schedule will utilize problem solving skills to ensure operational goals and client satisfaction are met. The incumbent for this role will be required to work closely with the customer, engineers, maintenance management, maintenance technicians and various suppliers daily to develop detailed job plans for corrective, project, preventive maintenance activities. This role will also partner with operational leaders in developing and implementing strategies for long term projects. This position will track the process from start to finish using facilities CMMS programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create a rolling multi-week maintenance schedule; maintain backlog records by trade, region, and route.
  • Maintain future workload forecast based on client input.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance/operations scheduling meetings; participate in maintenance/production meetings.
  • Manage planned system/facility outages and communicate planned outage/weekly schedules.
  • Identify and request parts; manage maintenance/operations documentation; manage quoting activities and update information in the CMMS program and other Management Information Systems.
  • Acts as a liaison between employees and any outside vendors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Ownership of capital planning process
  • Manage the RFP and vendor selection process to ensure efficient sourcing of materials and services.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management operations.
  • Strong end-to-end business process, analytical, problem solving and diagnostic skill.
  • Experience utilizing complex Excel formulas and functions to build and update reports and Relational Databases.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work in a dynamic fluid environment and effectively cope with change.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining work quality with various locations and team members.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and logical manner.
  • Maintain a professional image.
  • This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemical.
