Job Description

General Job Summary 

The Marketing Coordinator uses the 4 P’s of Marketing and is responsible for the implementation and execution of marketing programs which support profitable base business growth, consumer satisfaction and client retention within a single account. The Marketing Coordinator helps to support all critical business initiatives including pricing, meal plan sales, overall sales growth and consumer engagement for their account and Aramark Collegiate Hospitality. The Marketing Coordinator upholds and represents the Aramark Collegiate Hospitality brand, the UNCW Dining brand, and the UNC Wilmington brand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage meal plan sales and promotions including summer orientations to drive revenue
  • Creation, coordination, and execution of the events calendar in collaboration with operations team and other members of the marketing team
  • Manages student peer to peer groups to ensure proper execution of voluntary meal plan selling. (Includes hiring, training and day to day management)  
  • Collaborates with team members to design needed signage for events or operational needs 
  • Assists the marketing director with student feedback (Happy or Not, VOC, Student Dining Board, SGA meetings, etc)
  • Assists in the ongoing development of monthly newsletters for all stakeholders
  • Supports the development of Aramark category & brand strategies for retail, residential and catering channels translating insights to innovation
  • Supports the planning of an annual marketing plan with strategies and tactics to refine and enhance focus categories and proprietary brands to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Supports the creation, repositioning, and/or refresh of focus menu category and proprietary brands including menu construct, environment/trade dress, etc.
  • Supports the management of all aspects of the development and on-going management with Growth, Global Operating Excellence including initial sales and operator training materials, roll-out plans, and tools development


•    Requires at least 1-3 years of experience in marketing, foodservice experience is beneficial

•    Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, nutrition, food science or business

•    Strong project management experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization

•    Excellent interpersonal communication skills including strong writing and presentation skills
