Retail Operator Lead - Winnebago County Corrections

Job Description

The Retail Operator Lead is responsible for ensuring all retail operations, including micro-markets, coffee bars, and office dining areas are maintained and serviced properly. Work in a timely and efficient manner to gather products, deliver and stock retail spaces, and respond to customer inquiries, while managing inventory and quality control.

Job Responsibilities

•    Schedules and assigns work assignments to a retail team and oversees the completion of tasks
•    May be responsible for the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the Retail Sales operation  
•    Conduct and attend daily shift huddles while communicating operational priorities
•    Visit multiple retail locations to maintain an organized workspace and upkeep of proper inventory storage and tracking as well as ensuring food safety and sanitation protocols are followed
•    Interact with and answer client and customer inquiries about retail offerings as well as feedback on products, set-up and execution of retail services
•    Upholding standards of operations that will ensure providing all clients and staff of the institution with a quality-controlled, satisfying, and appealing retail service. Such standards to be in accordance with established policy, pertinent recommendations of the American Correctional Association and applicable federal, state and local regulations
•    Coordinating administrative tasks
•    Driving deliveries (varies by location)

Qualifications

•    Required to demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Basic math and counting skills required
•    Ability to work independently
•    Strong customer service skills to interact with client associates
•    Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lb.
•    Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
