Job Description

The incumbent serves as a Project Manager for Aramark. The position supports the formulation of projects for the management, maintenance, repair and construction of concessioner facilities, including buildings, utilities, trails, roads and other physical assets. The incumbent will be principally working with concessioner special account funded projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • The incumbent serves as a Project manager, providing professional advice and guidance on the planning, designing, constructing, expansion, rehabilitation and/or re-purposing of existing and/or new structures and facilities. Projects support the implementation of NPS and Concessioner management plans with the goal of improving visitor experience and protecting and restoring natural resources. Program work may include but is not limited to, the following types of structures or facilities: campgrounds, lodging, housing, marinas, launch ramps, restaurants, repair facilities, potable water systems, wastewater systems, communication systems, roads, bridges, trails, parking, and administrative structures.
  • Work includes multiple simultaneous projects in multiple locations, ranging from small, single-discipline to large muti-disciplinary design and construction projects, involving both single and multiple-year phasing.
  • Incumbent serves as the Point of Contact with NPS Commercial Services Project Management Team.
  • When required by a project, the incumbent works with contractors and their agents to analyze project needs and solve project problems.
  • Incumbent will support project scoping and will create project outlines and budgetary cost estimates with the support of technical staff and engineering services. Incumbent works closely with NPS management in the planning and initiation of concessioner projects.
  • When required by a project, the incumbent assists in the creation of detailed project cost estimates, and contributes to project narratives (descriptions, justifications, criteria, etc.). The incumbent maintains a working understanding of the role and operation of project management software tools.
  • The incumbent participates in the Concessioners project tracking system to ensure access to timely data regarding project status.
  • Incumbent analyzes project requirements and verifies information submitted to NPS, including funding, is accurate and meets requirements and parameters.
  • Incumbent reviews requirements, provides quality assurance and works with NPS park staff to ensure compliance, sustainability, and code requirements are met.
