Job Responsibilities

Aramark at UCF Dining is looking for a sustainability professional who is enthusiastic and motivated to design and implement solutions in UCF campus dining operations with students, faculty, and staff. This position plays a vital role in the implementation of Aramark’s Be Well. Do Well. platform and supports our campus sustainability efforts and serves as a liaison to the campus community. In alignment with the University’s sustainability priorities and Be Well. Do Well., the Sustainability Coordinator will work with field operations teams to implement standard operating sustainability procedures and practices in the areas of responsible sourcing, efficient operations, circularity, and waste minimization. They will manage the overall sustainability program for dining operations, and work with the onsite marketing team to communicate performance. The position directly contributes to sales growth, market penetration, client and consumer satisfaction. This person will educate both the dining team and the campus community on sustainability concepts, frameworks, and programs and how these programs benefit people and the planet. 


Job Responsibilities 

Waste Minimization: Support existing waste minimization strategies and investigate opportunities to further develop as opportunities arise. 

Responsible Sourcing: Establish partnerships with local growers/producers and appropriate third party verified products through approved supply chain management processes. Track and report local and sustainable spend and ensure operational adherence to annual purchasing targets aligned with University’s sourcing goals. Plan educational field trips for students to local farms and suppliers. 

Efficient Operations: Work with operations team on energy and water conservation measures including green building elements for new and existing facilities. Partner with nutrition and culinary to delivery low carbon Cool Food meals and other plant-forward / plant-based menu items.



• Must possess the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and be able to build strong relationships with clients and customers as well as Aramark teams to accomplish goals and objectives
• Possessing the ability to influence complex decision-making processes is fundamental
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience organizing and coordinating projects
• Possess passion for sustainability solutions
• Demonstrated experience with operations budgets and expenses
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends
