Job Description

This position can be based out of either Rockville, MD at Avendra HQ or Philadelphia, PA at Aramark HQ.

The Growth Marketing Manager, Partnerships and Events is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of growth marketing powered through our tradeshow, conferences, industry events, partnerships, and associations channels. This individual collaborates closely with Avendra Leadership, Marketing, Account Management, and Sales teams to create strategies that drive prospective and client engagement at multiple events, as well as within associations, publications, and chapters affiliations. They apply creativity, strategic thinking, organizational skills, and vision to support the organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing member and supplier relations, and improving the organization's growth through these pivotal channels.  
Some of your primary and additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:    

Job Responsibilities

Manage/execute event-based marketing initiatives across conferences, tradeshows, industry events, etc. to generate qualified sales leads and brand awareness tactics for Avendra and other prominent segments. 
•    Responsible for budget forecasting, inventory management, swag ideation, end-to-end event execution while managing third-party fulfillment agency to handle tactical needs (shipping, packing, etc)
•    Partner collaboratively with senior leadership and cross functional teams to ensure optimal representation is achieved through external events, including but not limited to speaking appearances, publications, and awards recognition.
•    Partner closely with marketing and sales team to provide them with tools, materials, and presentations, needed for on-site execution
•    Leverage growth and digital marketing teams for campaigns strategies and promotional activities to drive attendance, engagement, and awareness for upcoming events, , leveraging key channels like website, email and social, among other avenues.
•    Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to establish lead tracking process to report out on event outcomes and success.
•    Provide event report out after prominent events to internal stakeholders, including feedback, lead generation, opportunities for improvement, etc.
•    Work with video agency, Growth and digital marketing to generate promotional/marketing content for email, social, and website use where appropriate
•    Develop and manage comprehensive calendar overview and budgets related to event & partnership marketing, ensuring efficient resource allocation and goal achievement, communicate to internal stakeholders for transparency. 
•    Work closely with Growth Marketing and Communications team on client, customer, supplier, prospect content and messaging applied at events, or when necessary
•    Oversee and manage Exhibition booth design, production, on site installation and management 
•    Leverage best practices from Aramark for tradeshow, conference, and event success, where appropriate 
•    Oversee key external partnerships (e.g. industry associations, analysts, etc.) and build and foster relationships through these alliances that maximize the value for Avendra in the form of access to new customers, connections with key influencers, enhanced brand positioning, etc. 



Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to:
•    Experience in professional client relationship management 
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
•    A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints 
•    Ability to think creatively about a variety of challenges and apply organizational and managerial skills accordingly 
•    Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and demanding targets. 
•    A proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
•    Domestic travel approximately 30% of the time 
•    At least 5+ years of relevant experience in tradeshows + event planning  
•    BS/BA in relevant field ie. marketing, communications, public relations. 

Proficient in Microsoft platforms and possesses basic design and writing capabilities.
•    Work on-site in a hybrid capacity at our office location at Aramark – Philadelphia, PA or Avendra – Gaithersburg, MD
•    Strong written and oral communication competencies
