Job Description

As a peer-to-peer student for UCF Dining, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling meal plans to fellow students and parents. Your responsibilities will primarily involve tabling and participating in events to educate students about meal plan options, benefits, and discounts. Please note that this position requires availability during Summer B and Fall move-in weekends, which are considered mandatory work weekends.

 

About the Job:

We are looking for outgoing students who enjoy being part of a fast-paced environment. You’ll have the chance to provide peers not required to be on a meal plan with a way to hang out with friends and make the most of their time together! By being a Peer to Peer Sales Team member, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills to sell meal plans and ultimately help engage your peers in a new and different way. You will get to enhance their campus experience through dining services!

Hours per Week: 10-25 hours per week

 

Term: Summer (April through August)

A flexible schedule during the day is a must! Very few nights and weekends. Summer B and Fall move-in weekends are required.

 

Job Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Knowledgeable about meal plans, dining dollars, and UCF Dining Services locations

· Adheres to all policies/procedures

 

General Expectations for Peer to Peer Sales Team Members:

· Detail oriented

· Protect and uphold the rules and guidelines put forth by UCF Dining Services

· Utilize the tools and technology available to sell meal plans

 

Goal Orientation:

· Able to prioritize and carry out work tasks

· Does not allow distractions to prevent the completion of tasks in a timely manner

 

Resilience:

· Able to give and receive constructive feedback while always maintaining a positive and professional attitude

· Ability to respond quickly to issues at hand with a resolution while maintaining composure

· Understand and respect the values and beliefs of others

· Treat all customers, peers, and supervisors respectfully and professional

Qualifications

•  University of Central Florida Student

· Likes to have fun at work and demonstrates a sales competitive nature

· Background and/or interest in Sales/Marketing

· Desire to actively engage with customers to promote and grow meal plan sales

· Works well independently and with a team

· Be a good role model who demonstrates professionalism

· Self-motivated and strong communicator with managers, peers, and parents
