Hourly and Seasonal
Maintain and improve campus grounds in alignment with sustainability and campus standards
Perform routine groundskeeping tasks, including:
Mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding
Planting, fertilizing, raking, sweeping, and debris collection
Leaf removal and seasonal cleanup
Snow and ice removal as required
Apply planned landscaping designs to meet site needs
Operate grounds and landscaping equipment, including:
Zero-turn mowers, wide-area mowers, reel mowers
Weed eaters, hedge trimmers
Saws, sprayers, and hand tools
Operate trucks, tractors, and equipment attachments as needed
Clean and maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and exterior walkways
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on grounds equipment and tools
Follow all safety policies and procedures and promptly report equipment issues or hazards
Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of power equipment
Required use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Previous groundskeeping or landscape maintenance experience required
Experience in campus, institutional, or commercial environments preferred
Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and vehicles
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong attention to safety and quality standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
