Job Description

Coors Field is home to the MLB Colorado Rockies in Denver, Colorado.  Aramark supports our clients by providing a high level of attention to detail and outstanding customer service in all that we do.  Within the ballpark we have our top tier guests and clients that expect nothing but the best –luckily the best is what we deliver. 

We’re hiring Culinary Supervisors to join our passionate Culinary Team. An individual in this role will safely handle knives and equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc. Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you will also oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and assist with orchestrating the actions that lead to the success of Coors Field. 

Our ideal candidate is an individual that is reliable, prompt, and has the ability to multi-task as our kitchens are the beating heart of our operation. The ability to work holidays, overtime, nights and/or weekends as needed is strongly preferred. 

 

This position is considered an Hourly/ Seasonal/ Part-Time Employee

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.75 to $24.75. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Position Type

Scheduling for this position will be managed through a flex workforce app, ReadyOn, in which shifts will be assigned to you.  There are no minimum guaranteed hours per week, and hours will not exceed an average of 25 hours per week annually.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily food production, preparation, and execution 
  • Schedule and assign daily work activities to staff and supervise the completion of tasks 
  • Assist as needed with preparing daily production packets 
  • Oversee food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements 
  • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment 
  • Maintain all serving schedules; ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner following Aramark policies and procedures 
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations 
  • Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis 
  • Assist with End-of-Month department inventory 
  • Supervise Cooks & Lead Cooks; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork 
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment 
  • Maintain logs on all maintenance required on equipment within the department 
  • Ensure all food safety/temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary 
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist 
  • Recommend replacement of existing equipment to meet needs of facility 
  • Fill in for absent employees at location, as necessary 
  • Maintain knowledge of daily events and confirm they are prepared and delivered on time 
  • Attend food service meetings with staff 
  • Maintain communication with direct supervisor and Culinary Leadership

Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older (Required) 
  • Previous experience as a culinary lead or related role (Preferred) 
  • Previous experience as a cook or related role (Required) 
  • TEAM/ TiPS Certification (Required) – will be trained and certified upon hire (as needed) 
  • ServSafe or Food Safety Certification equivalent (Required) – will be trained and certified upon hire (as needed) 
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbs 
  • Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage 
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision  
  • Demonstrates proficient math and counting skills (Required) 
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Willingness to accept change and new procedures 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes 
  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions 
  • Maintains emotional control under stress 
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations 
  • Strong organizational skills 

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
