Job Description

The Executive Dining Room at a prestigious New York City financial institution is seeking a skilled cook for immediate hire. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, impeccable work habits, and at least three years of experience in a fine-dining restaurant or hotel setting.

The Executive Dining Room offers a weekly rotating à la carte menu, requiring high standards of quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Strong multitasking skills are essential. This role is perfect for an experienced cook seeking a better work–life balance or a motivated up-and-coming cook eager to grow in the world of high-end hospitality.

Monday–Friday daytime schedule with holidays off. Occasional evening events required.

 
 

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.00 to $27.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executing preparation for daily menus and special events in a fine dining setting
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation and professional appearance
  • Ensure food taste and presentation maintain the highest possible standards

Qualifications

  • 3 Years of Restaurant or Hotel experience, ideally in a NYC fine dining or upscale setting.
  • A Culinary School Degree or Comparable Trade School Certification
  • A positive, can do attitude
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and work quickly to achieve daily production goals.
  • A passion for food and cooking above all else.
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
     

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
