Job Description

The Spurs Fan Shop is looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Designer Intern to join our team. This position will focus on digital, print, and merchandise design, helping to enhance the Spurs Fan Shop brand both online and in-store.

As part of our team, you'll contribute to SpursFanShop.com, create POP (Point of Purchase) signage for retail locations, and develop graphics for apparel and merchandise. You will also collaborate closely with Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) on collections, graphics, and marketing planning details. Additionally, we’re looking for a team player who is willing to assist in other areas outside of graphic design when needed to support the team.

This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sports-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Digital Design: Create website banners, promotional visuals, and graphics for SpursFanShop.com.
  • Retail Marketing: Design POP signage and marketing materials for our physical retail stores.
  • Apparel & Merchandise Graphics: Develop designs that align with brand guidelines and appeal to Spurs fans.
  • Collaboration with SS&E: Work with the Spurs Sports & Entertainment team on collections, graphics, and marketing planning to ensure brand consistency and engagement.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the e-commerce team, operations team, and clients to bring design projects to life.
  • Team Support: Be willing to assist in other areas outside of graphic design when needed to help support overall team operations.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all creative materials meet brand standards.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with design trends and sports retail branding.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital, print, and merchandise design work.
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple teams, including e-commerce, operations, and external clients.
  • Willingness to assist in other areas outside of graphic design when needed.
  • Passion for sports and familiarity with the San Antonio Spurs brand is a plus.
  • Previous experience in retail, e-commerce, or apparel design is a bonus but not required.
