Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Food Service Operations Manager for Children's National at Bunker Hill Road in Washington D.C.
Responsible for the daily clinical and retail dietary operations of a 40-bed rehabilitation facility. Utilize management skills to develop and execute dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Responsibilities:
• Recruit, assign, coach, schedule, develop, and evaluate staff.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to align with company goals.
• Supervise staff to ensure timely and accurate department functions.
• Resolve employee relations issues and grievances.
• Maintain time and attendance records.
• Develop menus for cafeteria, catering, and patient food service.
• Sample and evaluate foods for patients daily, adhering to dietary guidelines.
• Prepare all hot and cold foods, ensuring high quality and adherence to food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Schedule food production, coordinate purchasing, pre-prep, and service.
• Prepare, utilize, complete, and file production records accurately.
• Maintain skills, licensure, regulatory requirements, and credentials.
• Review and update policies and procedures related to nutritional services.
• Assist in developing and accomplishing department quality goals.
• Provide nutrition expertise and education to staff.
• Participate in in-service education programs and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate nutrition screening of patients and develop cycle menus.
• Check tray line and final trays before delivery.
• Interface with patients to obtain diet and nutrition information.
• Conduct meal rounds to assess patient satisfaction.
• Maintain patient diet records according to necessary record retention.
• Perform tray line audits and monitor food quality, temperature, and accuracy.
• Build revenue and manage budget for food, beverage, and labor.
• Implement and maintain GM agenda for food and labor initiatives.
• Adopt all Aramark processes and systems.
Skills:
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
• Diet and Nutrition Technician, Registered (DTR) certification appreciated.
• Strong budget acuity.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in food production software and budget management.
• Knowledge of dietary guidelines and food handling procedures.
• Certified Dietary Manager, certification
• Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (preferred)
