The Registered Dietitian I helps to provide a nutritionally sound and cost-efficient food services program that will meet the needs of students while maintaining compliance with all local guidelines as they relate to nutrition regulations. Utilizes technical training and government-mandated nutritional standards on food health to develop healthy menu implementation plans. May work closely with Food & Beverage Development and management teams.

· Required:
o Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university or college in nutrition and dietetics.
o Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist status, if residing in a state with licensure requirements. RDN-eligible candidates will be considered but must pass exam within 6 months of hire date.
o Food safety knowledge with ServSafe certification; must be obtained within 6 weeks of hire date.
· Preferred but not required:
o Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, food/health sciences or related field.
o At least one (1) year experience in higher education or food service.
· Knowledge working with PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (previous experience with food production systems, nutrition analysis software, electronic medical recording, and social media platforms preferred).
· Strong communication skills (oral and written); can effectively communicate with clients, customers, and support staff.
· The ability to develop and conduct training seminars, presentations and speak to small or large groups of people.
· The ability to establish and maintain effective working relations and communicate with a wide range of people and behavior styles.
· Solid strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills.
· Adaptability to changing priorities to meet the demands of the business.
· A self-starter, confident in abilities, self-motivated and able to work effectively with little supervision.
· Have an all-hands-on deck, team-oriented mentality and feels comfortable conducting out-of-scope responsibilities when needed.
· Creative and flexible in attitude/style to adapt to new situations in a dynamic environment.
· A strong value system, unquestioned integrity, and good listening skills.
