Job Description

The Director of Hotel Operations is responsible for ensuring that Aramark's products and services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. This role will primarily involve developing team members, finding ways to enhance the quality of customer service, and implementing standard methodologies across all levels. The position will involve overseeing operations at the Lake Crescent Lodge and Log Cabin Resort in Olympic National Park, Washington.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000.  If both numbers in the range are the same, that is that rate that will be paid.  If there is a lower number and higher number, the pay will depend on factors such as an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.​

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.​

Job Responsibilities

•    Support GM in managing labor, supply inventory, and equipment.
•    Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints. Initiate corrective action.
•    Maintain established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
•    Align with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.
•    Responsible for working with HR to maintain wage and hour compliance.
•    Manage operations department in accordance with operations plans and GM/DM direction.
•    Maintain compliance with Aramark’s standards of operation, client contract, and within Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy.
•    Keep accurate records and reports in accordance with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes.
•    Collaborate with General Manager to understand all regulations and contractual agreements pertaining to the operations.
•    Monitor and communicate potential business risks, including weather, to ensure safe operations and adjust business operations as appropriate.
•    Direct and manage procedures and methods to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained in all operations, including Retail Inventories.
•    Evaluate performance results, develop, and implement action plans to achieve performance goals for direct reports.
•    Hold employees accountable for completing position training, conduct follow-up, and assess training progress of new employees.
•    Assist leadership on special projects.
•    Review and analyze business performance using plan data and recommend decisions/approaches to address key operational opportunities and levers, including route sales growth optimization, pricing actions, product inventory, waste reduction, and labor costs, which would positively impact the business.
•    Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring, and counseling management staff and front-line personnel to provide ongoing support and development.
•    Optimize core processes and positively influence client relationships and business opportunities.
•    Own and foster effective communication at all levels of the organization.
•    Ensure daily operations are maintained as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • •    At least five years’ experience in hotel operations management in a related field.
    •    Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    •    High energy level that is communicated to the team and exhibits a proven track record for growing business.
    •    Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
    •    Ability to lead in a diverse environment with a focus on client and guest service.
    •    Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
