Hourly and Seasonal
Harvest Table Culinary Group is seeking a Temporary Catering Chef. This is a union position.
• Adhere strictly to standards outlined in the catering guides, by following both the recipes and presentation pictures
• Will assume the decision-making responsibility as they apply to catering in the absence of the Executive and Sous Chefs
• Must be able to lead a culinary team for the timely production of a catered event
• Occasionally prepares simple desserts or bake-off bakery products as necessary
• Responsible for garnishing and seasoning food appropriately to meet department quality standards as determined by management
• Properly refrigerate or store all food left at the end of meal period according to instructions and sanitation procedures, including labeling and dating of products
• Participates with management to ensure proper inventory levels for daily food production
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
• Assists in providing input into the revision, testing, and creation of new recipes, as required
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by adhering to sanitation standards by city, state, and unit specifications
• Other duties assigned by management
• 6-8 years of cooking experience in food service operation with 2 years in volume feeding experience preferred
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
• Must communicate effectively with customers, team members, and managers
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
