Position Summary: Cashier assist in the daily operations of the store. This position requires employees to run a register and handle cash on a daily basis. Cashier workers are knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding area and have good customer service skills. This position requires that individuals are attentive, pay attention to detail and help with stocking, cleaning and inventory. Knowledge of retail and cash handling is needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere of the work area at all times; dispose of trash and clean all areas
  • Maintain daily side work and ensure any required logs are completed in a timely manner; also complete any restocking and cleaning duties
  • May be required to keep an inventory of stock - noting any out of stock items or possible shortages
  • Maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations
  • Solve small guests issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the store (i.e. sweeping, or mopping)
  • Be attentive to specific guest needs
  • Responsible for daily cash, and credit procedures and operations
  • Collect payment by cash, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due back to guests
  • Bag and wrap items for guests when requested
  • Process returns and exchanges of merchandise
  • Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items
  • Carry up to 40 pounds of merchandise up and down stairs and/or ramps
  • Push or pull up to 175 pounds on a cart up and down ramps
  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
  • Diplomatically handle guest complaints, always polite and maintaining a professional manner
  • May be required to train other employees on the role
  • May be cross trained to work in other areas
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule
  • Develop a strong knowledge of all products offered in order to constantly up sell
  • Cashiers should be highly knowledgeable about the surrounding areas
  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy
  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform
  • Conduct inventory when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Cash handling, simple math and operating a register
  • Knowledge of the retail store and the items that are sold

Status and Scope: Position requires the ability to multi-task, a strong customer service focus, strong communication skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude. Position Reports to Retail Manager 



  • Must be fluent in the English language both spoken and written; able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Previous Customer Service experience required
  • Should be able to work all department shifts
  • Must maintain guest confidentiality in compliance with PCI
  • Must have signed Alcohol Awareness concerning sales of alcohol beverages
  • Good customer service skills and a pleasant manner
  • Good organizational skills
  • 6 months of cash handling experience required

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)


Lifting Requirements: LIGHT - Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds
