Position Summary: The Reservationist handles all functions as they relate to bookings, pre and post trip logistics, trip instructions to guests pre-trip orientation, online calendar, and deposits. Additionally, the Reservationist assists the Reservations Manager as required.
Ensure that all telephone and internet inquiries are responded to.
Ensure that brochures and any related mailings are sent in a timely manner.
Oversee booking process to ensure that all pertinent information is given to the customer at the time the reservation is taken, including any special needs.
Collect and verify required deposits and final payments are received in accordance with policy. Deposit monies received.
Maintain financial reporting with accounting.
Notify kitchen coordinator of any special dietary food needs or requests.
Assist with arranging for guest hotel room the night prior to river trip.
Arrange for pre-trip orientation room.
Arrange for transportation for river passengers from the hotel to Lee’s Ferry.
Ensure post-trip survey process is completed.
Assist Reservations Manager with sales and marketing efforts.
Monitor Web-site activity; work with ISP to maintain web-site integrity and current information.
Maintain standards per NPS launch schedules and work with appropriate NPS personnel providing monthly and annual reports.
