Description:

Position Summary: Boat Rentals Service Writer duties and responsibilities. This employee is responsible for parts room inventory and for all the ordering and receiving of parts, as well as work order management at the direction of the Service Manager. This person has great computer skills, is willing to help out wherever needed and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
 
Essential Functions:

  • Ensure cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere of work area of all times
  • Order parts from vendors
  • Control parts room inventory
  • Assist technicians and pull parts
  • Post parts to work orders
  • Effectively communicate with customers, technicians and vendors
  • Exceptional customer service skills are needed when encountering guests to ensure a good positive representation of Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas is demonstrated at all times
  • Manage repair workorders orders
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Dockmaster system, Acctivate Warehouse system and SMS
  • Identify safety issues and take the correct steps to correct them
  • Must be honest, dependable and forthright, with the ability to confidently work without direct supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude – always be willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed
  • Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations
  • Must be flexible - willing to work a varied schedule
  • Report to work in proper uniform
  • Other duties as assigned

Status and Scope:

  • Service Writer reports to the Boat Rentals Maintenance Manager
  • Service Writer must have strong organization and communication skills and be able to interact with a diverse workforce and customer base
  • Service Writer should have an attention to detail focus and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment


Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Strong English communication skills are required – must have the ability to read, speak, write and understand English
  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Background in Repair Field and Dockmaster service program preferred
  • Basic Mathematical knowledge and Computer skills are required

Equipment Used:
Fax Machine, Calculator, Computer, Printer, Telephone, Office Equipment,Other
 Requirements:   Little or No Travel (>10%)
 
Lifting Requirements:  
MEDIUM- Lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing 20 pounds or more.
