Our Leisure group within SLC specializes in serving consumers; recreational and entertainment needs in national and state parks, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums and other day-use cultural attractions.

 

The scope of our operations includes operating lodging, conference and meeting space, houseboats and other marine activities, retail merchandise shops, fine dining restaurants, and interpretive tours in some of this country's most pristine protected lands and national parks.

 

We have been active partners with the National Park Service and various zoos, aquariums, and other cultural attractions for over 20 years, providing high-quality visitor services in numerous locations across the United States in over 12 states.  We are considered a premier provider of professional services by clients and competition alike, committed to providing high-quality recreation, hospitality and authentic experiences to clients and visitors from all over the world.

Position Summary:

 

Based in Yosemite National Park; the Camp Managers lead all aspects of their respective HS Camp They are responsible for staffing, planning, and customer satisfaction for the location.  This position oversees a small team of professionals who oversee day to day food, general utility, safety, and guest service functions of the camp. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, support and monitor programs and training to insure productivity standards, safety and environmental standards, company policies and procedures are met.
  • Ensure that systems and procedures for the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving of food and related products are in line with company programs.
  • Performs periodic inventories.
  • Ensure that all required employees are Servsafe trained and certified.
  • Responsible for daily interaction with the client and client's customers and/or employees. Ensure that all efforts are focused upon exceeding each and every guest’s expectations.
  • Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with staff to determine guest satisfaction.
  • Resolve guest concerns.
  • Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as well as able to be available for guest needs at all times when at the camp.
  • Ensure all supplies, equipment and personnel for the location are adequate.
  • Recognize outstanding employees and assist in providing incentives for improvements in standards.
  • Monitor the physical condition of all facilities and equipment in all areas to ensure that required maintenance is performed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Superior organizational, time management and communication skills required. 
  • Outstanding leadership skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Very good problem resolution techniques.
  • Must be willing to work long hours, rotational shifts, weekends, holidays and have rotational days off.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and other Company personnel.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, guests or employees.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply safety rules, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals.
