 J1 - Boat Clearner - Lake Powell - Wahweap - Boat Rentals

 

Position Summary: Boat Rentals Greeters are the first line of communication for guests arrive at the lake that have rented a boat or are trying to find out information on renting a vessel. Greeters establish a welcoming atmosphere from the minute a guest arrives at the Boat Rentals Information Booth or Office.  Greeters are attentive and always willing to answer questions. They inform the guests what their pick-up times are for the rental boats and where the guest should park for loading and unloading. Greeters should be highly knowledgeable about Lake Powell Resort and Marinas and the surrounding areas; acting as a useful resource for all guests. This position requires individuals with a high attention to detail, ability to sell, a strong dedication to customer service and a positive and friendly attitude
 
Essential Functions:

  • Greet all guests upon their arrival at the Boat Rental Booth or  in the Boat Rentals Office
  • Provide information on where and how to book boats, jet skis, rooms if needed and other vacation activities
  • Develop a strong knowledge of all products and services offered in order to constantly up sell
  • Ensure all customers renting boats are informed on where to check in and park upon arrival.
  • Greeters should be highly knowledgeable about Lake Powell Resort and Marinas and the surrounding areas; acting as a concierge resource for all guests. This includes but is not limited to: retail, the lodge, food & beverage opening hours and services, tours and activities and surrounding area amenities and activities such as other National Parks in The Grand Circle
  • Maintain a daily log of arrivals for Houseboats.
  • Ensure cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere of the Boat Rentals Booth, Walk ways and surrounding areas at all times.
  • Maintain daily side work –ensure any required logs are completed in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate with guests, to ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service
  • Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations
  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
  • Diplomatically handle guest complaints – always be polite and maintain a professional manner
  • Must be able to work under erratic deadlines and deal with changing priorities
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule
  • Use basic office equipment
  • Thank all guests and say goodbye as they leave
  • Report to work in proper uniform and name tag
  • Prepare for next day’s arrivals
  • Other duties as assigned

 
Status and Scope:

  • Reports to Boat Rentals Office Manager or Guest Service Manager
  • Position requires a strong customer service focus, strong communication skillsand a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work efficiently – prepared to help wherever needed
  • Must be willing to gain a good understanding of Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas and surrounding area, becoming fully knowledgeable on all activities and amenities offered  


Qualifications:

Qualifications:
 

  • Must be fluent in English language both spoken and written
  • Computer literate in MS Office - Helpful
  • Previous hospitality and sales experience preferred

Adding Machine, Photocopier, Calculator, Printer, Telephone, Computer, Fax
 
Travel Requirements:   Little or No Travel (>10%)
 
Lifting Requirements:  
SEDENTARY - Lifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying small items (files, manuals, binders)
