Job Summary: The Lead Waiter/Waitress position is vital to achieving excellent customer service and executing catering events. They are responsible for pulling equipment for event set up, transporting materials and food to the event, setting up the event, serving guests, cleaning up the event, and returning equipment to the Catering Department.


Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • •Responsible for being on time, in proper uniform and well groomed
    •Oversees Grille operations with emphasis on sanitation standards, service standards, proper staffing levels, and training of hourly staff
    •Monitor, train, and evaluate all Grille staff to ensure highest quality of customer service  is delivered to the guest in the most professional manner
    •Maintains attendance policies throughout department.
    •Coaches departmental staff when necessary.
    •Responsible for all equipment being properly cleaned, sanitized and stored at the end of every shift
    •Responsible for the following all Serv Safe guidelines including single use gloves on any ready to eat food
    •Responsible for proper food product receiving and storage
    •Verifies that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis
    •Monitor inventory rotation to maintain fresh product with little or no waste
    •Practices excellent operational sanitation
    •Communicate equipment repair needs with Chef in a timely manner
    •Keeps work are clean, swept and clutter free. Cleans all kitchen equipment as needed.
    •Abides by and uphold all ARAMARK policies
    •Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Manager

 Additional Job Functions:

  • Cross-training and work in other dining locations on campus as needed
  • Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the ARAMARK management team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•Supervises the staff and sanitation of facilities of the locations.
•Responsible for openings and closing the building, managing employee issues and making sure the location is staffed appropriately


Required Qualifications:

•1 year supervisory experience
•Excellent Customer Service Skills and ability to work in a team environment
•Well-groomed and professional attire (follow Aramark standards for uniform and grooming)


Desired Qualifications:


•Ability to carry at least 4 meals on a tray at any given time
•TIPS Certified
