Position Summary: Responsible for direct supervision of all Bell Staff.  Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery and pickup of large quantities of luggage to and from rooms and the train depot on a daily basis while maintaining excellent customer service standards.  Available for courtesy driving guests and Front Desk requests as needed.  Must understand and speak English fluently.
Essential Functions:

  • Speak English fluently
  • Lifting and carrying luggage weighing 50 or more pounds up to 50 yards
  • Lifting and carrying luggage weighing 50 or more pounds up and down at least one flight of stairs.
  • Tagging and checking luggage in the luggage check
  • Courtesy driving guests when needed
  • Delivering items to guestrooms
  • On call for front desk needs
  • Driving luggage to and from train depot, bus stop, etc.
  • Handling guests who have lost luggage in a diplomatic manner
  • Supervise up to 15 bell staff at one time.
  • Report to work in proper uniform.
  • Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Status and Scope:

  • Reports to Front Office Manager


Qualifications: At least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license issued from a US State or Territory. Carry up to 50 lbs and carry over large distances. No more than 1 moving traffic violation within the past 3—5 years. Position requires you to drive company vehicles. Company policy states that you must be 21 with a clean driving record and pass DOT qualifications to drive company vehicles.

  • Calculator, telephone, computer, Company motor vehicles

Travel Requirements:  

  • Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements:  

  • HEAVY - Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds
