It will be your responsibility to assist the general manager in overseeing the day to day operations of the warehouse department; ensure self and team engages with transactions, organizes and stocks , participate in inventory needs as requested; maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and applicable areas; help various departments as needed; and practices proper inventory management techniques; create schedule; ensure all team members follow company policies.
Achieves a thorough knowledge of products within the gift shop and utilizes this knowledge in providing information to guests, up-selling where possible.
Initiates conversations with guests and engages with them to better understand their needs and wants and uses knowledge to increase sales via up-selling and product recommendations.
Operates a cash register and engages with guests throughout the transaction.
Practices effective cash management techniques when handling money and processing payments as well as when cashing out at the end of the shift being sure to follow all cash handling procedures.
Organizes and restocks the shelves within the gift shop being sure they look neat and are properly displayed.
Maintains the cleanliness of the gift shop by performing tasks including, but not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, wiping glass, and taking trash out.
Participates in taking inventory.
Consistently participates in a team atmosphere by helping the front desk and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, dining room (through bussing tables), lobby restrooms, luggage room, and parking lot.
