Job Summary - This role is a key member of the Business Resource Center (BRC), Aramark’s in house team focused on the development and delivery of high quality sales communication.  We support the global salesforce’s efforts to drive growth and win record levels of new business.  The team is creative, collaborative and dedicated to fueling the growth of the company.  The BRC is based in the historic Wanamaker building at headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.


Capture Managers are the day to day relationship facilitators between Sales Leadership, a group of Proposal Managers, a project engagement team and the Business Resource Center (BRC).  They are the glue that leads the team that holds together the successful development and delivery of our responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP, RFI, RFQ) and additional sales documents including, but not limited to, presentations, tour books, brochures, and menus. 


Our best Capture Managers excel in developing strong relationships with their internal clients, facilitating effective communication, project managing, and adhering to proven work processes.  They are champions of process and work plans. Obsessed with meeting the details of the bid schedule, they exhibit a high sense of urgency and support their projects as they deliver high quality documents.  They work well independently and in a team setting.


Capture Managers are responsible for resources, planning and scheduling.  A key function of the Capture Manager is to assure that the team is equipped to build winning proposal documents.  The Manager ensures that all processes are current and looks critically at each step to propose and implement continual improvements. 


They will also present win strategy at the proposal kick-off meeting. Coordinate the technical proposal resources (SMEs & Writers) as needed. Review final bid materials with Seller


Core Job Duties/Responsibilities


LeadershipPrimary duties consists of driving opportunity from capture decision to contract award, assisting with bid strategies and overseeing the development of the technical proposals, management and cost strategies and associated proposal volumes.  Individual is responsible for aiding the Director or Business Development/Director of Strategic Development with shaping the RFP and identifying strengths and weaknesses of the organization in pursuit of the opportunity.  The Capture Manager is also responsible for determining the most likely requirements to successfully win an opportunity to include development and articulation of the solutions required, win strategies, themes and discriminators.  Individual must be able to clearly communicate these to both sales executives and the proposal team.  The Capture Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the capture plan and work plan and associated strategy into the proposal end product and corporate offering.


  • Client Relationship – The Capture Manager will have direct contact to the Seller and the Sales and Marketing Leadership teams. Will maintain and control the master communication plans and organize the check in/progress conference calls. This role will communicate any workplan updates on a daily basis to the entire engagement team.

  • Bravely lead through difficult situations to deliver all work (yours and the team’s) accurately and on time.
  • Understand the Business Development process and work with the Proposal Managers to any necessary tailoring with respect to size and scope of the opportunity. Assign key proposal personnel.
  • Plan proposal and proposal support activities.
  • Prepare and Monitor the Bid/Proposal budget and forecasts with the Proposal and Creative Directors.
  • Prepare master proposal Schedule.
  • Leads and develops resources and other team members as assigned.
  • Ensure proposal compliance with all RFP requirements in all proposal volumes.
  • Prepare and deliver all proposal volumes, plans and specifications.
  • Ensure approval of all corporate commitment statements.
  • Approve any exceptions or deviations.
  • Commitment and consistent ability to meet project deadlines, while managing multiple leadership and seller priorities.
  • Thrive in a fast paced, production deadline driven environment.
  • Recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Gains clarification, approval and feedback from clients on work produced. 
  • May be required to work non-traditional work hours to accommodate workload and delivery of deadline-driven projects.
  • Solicit feedback regularly through discussions, communications, surveys and project debriefs to utilize as input toward recognition, reward and coaching opportunities.
  • Summarize the entire project and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Prepare status reports and briefings for higher level management.

Core Job Qualifications

  • Experience – 5 to 7+ years of relevant professional experience.


  • Education - Degree in design, business, or communications, or comparable work experience.
