Administrative/HR – Temporary Position

 

Job Summary: This Administrative internship will give experience and exposure to various aspects of Human Resources with emphasis in the areas recruitment and hiring within Aramark Corrections Food Service Operations in state of Indiana. Furthermore, offering opportunity to be a part of a global company and obtaining visibility and exposure to a variety career avenues in our organization.

 

Goals for Aramark Indiana DOC

  • Generate an increase in applicants
  • Improve the quality of the candidate pool
  • Assist with meeting IDOC contractual staff requirement with increased efforts

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for day to day Recruitment functions including recruiting, staffing, hiring, and training

  • Proactively search, identify, and qualify all potential candidates

  • Attract highly qualified individuals by creative measures to include media outlets, job fairs and local  advertising

  • Screen applicants, conduct phone-based interviews to evaluate and summarize relevant skills and experience, coordinate on-site interviews

  • Provide insight on market trends and strategies to the District Manager

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations

  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager

  • Complete other tasks as assigned

  • Follows ARAMARK policies and procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures

 

 



Qualifications:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate degree or higher preferred

  • Experience with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring

  • Have a sound knowledge on Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PPT & Outlook)

  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, and presentation, plus the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and behavior styles

  • Strong organizational and time management skills required

  • Ability to manage and prioritize time and projects in an efficient manner

  • Operate with a sense of urgency, and have the ability to adapt to changes quickly

  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include night and weekend hours

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future

  • A fast learner with a positive attitude

Travel Requirements:   Moderate Travel across Indiana Accounts
 
Lifting Requirements: 
LIGHT - Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds
