This position works alongside the Senior Food Service Director to oversee several food service locations and multiople food service employees.


Will also conduct regular site visitation assessments to validate satisfactory levels in the following areas:

    • Food quality and presentation
    • Recipe and Production Record Compliance
    • Food safety and sanitation standards – cleanliness of the kitchen
    • Menu compliance
    • Workplace safety
    • Uniform requirements
    • Customer service expectations
    • HAACP logs
  • Work with Food Service Manager to ensure maintaining of food budget purchasing guidelines as provided by Vice President of Operations
  • Monitor food and supply inventory levels to ensure meeting of specified targets
  • Hold monthly training/information meetings for Food Service Manager and School Dining Managers – coordinate content of meetings with VPO, Zone Chef, and Zone Trainer
  • Conduct Monthly Manager Calibrations with all Food Service Managers direct reports to include utilize of provided form and documented feedback
  • Partner with area managers to attend student focus groups at locations to gain feedback on the food service program – follow up to ensure all feedback areas have been addressed
  • Work  as necessary with building level administration (Principal and Vice Principal) meetings
  • Establish relationship with CPS Network Chief to gain understanding of strategic needs
  • Attend strategic planning sessions with VPO and DM to discuss key critical items for the following areas:
    • Participation Growth
    • Labor Control
    • Food Cost Control
  • Work with Food Service Manager to ensure attainment of all Key Performance Indicators as established by VPO and DM
  • Attend community engagement events as necessary or requested
  • Assist with the implementation and continuing monitoring of Point-of-Sale System
  • Assist with implementation of meal growth promotional opportunities as necessary
  • Lead issuance of coaching an/or disciplinary action to Food Service Staff members in accordance with Aramark and District human resource procedures
  • Provide on-site training to all food service personnel on various aspects and requirements of their position




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food and Nutrition, or other related field
  • Demonstrates quality and leadership skills and has good written and oral communication skills
  • Has the ability to respond effectively to changing demands
  • Ability to identify defects in the preparation and service of food and implement improved quality control procedures
