Position Summary:
The Mountain Supervisor is responsible for all manners of Snowmobile Operations that are related to mountain tour operations. Supervises guides, groomers, EMT’s, fuelers and mountain staff. Responsible for all tour activities, including safety, timing and the customer experience.
Essential Functions:

  • Hiring, training and disciplining of mountain staff.
  • Assessing of mountain and trail conditions.
  • Ensuring of mountain, machine and trail readiness.
  • Conducting an operation of tours within USFS and ARAMARK guidelines.
  • Ensures all standards of set mountain operations are met. (Customer Service, Safety, etc.)
  • Scheduling of Mountain Staff, including EMT’s and Groomers.
  • Conducting and documenting daily standup meetings.
  • Conducting and documenting fuel tank and facility inspections.
  • Ordering and inventorying mountain supplies such as EMT supplies, fuel, oil, customer refreshments, snowmobile and Sno-Cat fluids and supplies, etc.
  • Responsible for payroll edits and related slips, and payroll compliance
  • DMM safety compliance updates (5 Why’s, inspections, etc.)
  • Abides by and upholds all ARAMARK policies

Status and Scope:

  • Must provide accurate reports regarding all manner of operations to Recreation Manager
  • Possess global thinking capabilities, clearly assess all manner of mountain ops and objectively report to superiors
  • Must be able to supervise within established and stringent guidelines
  • Must be fair minded and treat all employees objectively and without preference
  • Goal oriented personality





•Must possess a current basic EMT license or higher
•Must be an advanced skier
•Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and stay calm during difficult situations
•Must have experience in the Yosemite National Park wilderness
•Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team
•Must be physically fit - position is physically demanding
•Must be able to work in harsh environments and in extreme outdoor conditions
•Must be fluent in English

Lifting Requirements: HEAVY - Lifting 100 pounds or more and occasionally lifting and/or carrying small items (files, manuals, binders)

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)
