Job Summary: Responsible for bulk preparation of cold foods for all meals and maintenance of a clean and sanitary work station at all times while working in a fast-paced environment for the entire hotel. This position is located in various environments which include fine dining, casual restaurants and fast food kitchens. This position requires the flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Prepare bulk sauces, dressings and batters for Hotel
  • Supervises and trains Pantry Persons within Hotel
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work area
  • Maintain proper portion control
  • Retrieve and transport various food products weighing up to 50 pounds for preparation
  • Operate manual and mechanical food processing equipment
  • Assembly of large volume of cold food items
  • Prepare items for storage and transport to storage areas
  • Prepare sandwiches, salads, and complete prep work
  • Instruct and train salad makers and pantry persons
  • Sweep, mop, and empty trash cans as needed
  • Follow Aramark recycling policies
  • Supervise pantry in absence of Garde Manger
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


  • Must have 6 months of prior kitchen experience
  • 2 years prior pantry/cooking experience
  • Must have ability to supervise operation
  • Knowledge of the proper use and cleaning of kitchen equipment
  • Must have valid Aramark Food Handler’s Certification
  • Must have completed the Aramark Food Sanitation class and the Aramark Back Injury Prevention class
  • Must have knowledge of all hot and cold food stations
  • Must be able to multitask and function in a professional manner under pressure from guests and/or supervisors
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well is desired
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)


Lifting Requirements: HEAVY - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects. Ability to transport 300 pound using a cart.





  • Must meet state age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Must have a valid TIPs card to serve alcohol
  • Must complete Serve Safe Food Handlers certification
  • Must be fluent in the English language both spoken and written – able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Basic mathematical skills are required – must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Previous customer service, food serving, food preparation, cooking experience and experience in a lead role is preferred
