Job Summary:  

  • Directly overseeing the execution of the suites front line team and the general operation of the suites according to the standards set forth by Aramark and PPG Paints Arena. The Suite Supervisor focuses on ensuring every customer within the suites service level experience receives the distinctive premium service at each event that meet Aramark and PPG Paints Arena expectations.       The Suite Supervisor reports directly to the Suite’s Manager and will directly oversee the Suite Servers & Suite Runners as well as communicate with the Event Day Operators and Suites Sous Chef to meet the needs of all suite level guests.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee & Verify set-up of each service area
  • Walk-through before each service shift to ensure proper perpetration
  • Collect, Review & Communicate client-specific notations for each event to relevant staff including Suite Servers, Suite Runner and other applicable staff
  • Communication liaison between Suite staff and Suite Kitchen including Sous Chef, Event Day Operators, Suite Servers, Suite Runners and other applicable staff
  • Actively partner with other supervisory staff to ensure effective distribution of product including beverage set-up, cold foods push, hot foods push & orders placed during the event
  • Actively ensure customer satisfaction through direct interaction with customers
  • Actively identify issues & correct potential concerns
  • Actively respond to & assist with customer concerns, questions or issues
  • Oversee & Verify final bill collection & settlement by Suite Servers
  • Assign side-work & closing duties to suites staff as needed
  • Oversee & Verify accurate close out of service locations
  • Oversee & Verify accurate collection of restock information
  • Ensure completeness of work by self, Suite Servers, Suite Runners or other applicable staff before dismissal or end of all staff’s shifts
  • Ensure timely and accurate recognition of any event staff with Suites Manager; participate in recognition or reward as needed
  • Identify & communicate relevant or potential performance issues with Suites Manager; participate in coaching & counseling as needed
  • Assist Suites Manager as needed in preparing for each event shift
  • Other duties & functions as assigned by Supervisor or Manager



Additional Job Functions: 


  • Cross-train at other positions in the location
  • Work in other departments as necessary


Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees and directs staff to ensure timely and effective service of customers. 


Work Environment:


  • Front-of-house and/or back-of-house
  • Occasionally inside kitchen area and or dish room; including interaction with heated equipment, steam, loud noises, chemical products, and other at risk conditions.

Travel Requirements:

Little or No Travel (>10%)


Lifting Requirements:

 LIGHT: Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds. 


Additional Requirements:


  • Must have flexible availability and able to work all Penguins games including non-hockey events as needed
  • Adherence to all established policies of the employee handbook
  • Adherence to all established position performance requirements
  • Lift, Move and Carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to Bend, Reach & Stretch as needed for service to guests and cleaning & maintenance
  • Superior skills in organization, detail orientation and thoroughness of task completion
  • Superior skills in customer service and personal interaction skills
  • Basic Math, Reading and Keyboarding skills including PCs and telephones
  • Must be knowledgeable of food preparation techniques
  • Must be able to stand and walk during entire shift


Required Qualifications:



  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and understand directions
  • Must be able to understand safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
  • Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned
  • Excellent customer service and a positive attitude
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn new technology systems
  • Ability to manage people and have accountability for company assets 
  • Successful completion of the Aramark Hourly Food Handlers training within the first 30 days of employment
  • Must be willing to follow all Aramark Safety Standards


Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience in food service industry
  • Courtesy and tact in dealing with guests, co-workers, as well as others in the college community
