Job Summary:  The purpose of this job is to help ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils in a clean and sanitized condition.  In addition, this job requires that the employee keep the dishwashing machine station, three compartment sink, and related areas clean.

    • Clean and sanitizes work areas, rest rooms, break rooms, equipment, and utensils
    • Sweep and mop floors
    • Clean dishes, glasses, silverware using a dishwashing machine
    • Clean pots, pans and utensils manually, using a three compartment sink
    • Organize and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking, serving equipment at the regularly scheduled intervals
    • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy
    • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to understand and follow directions given by management
    • Proper/safe use of chemicals and cleaning agents
    • Report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately
    • Complete daily temperature logs
  • Additional Job Functions
    • Cross-train at other positions in the location
    • Adhere to all HACCP regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
    • May wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits to prepare for use in recipes
    • Work at other stations and in other departments as necessary
    • Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
    • Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team
    • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
    • Maintain a positive attitude
    • Assist with daily functions such as cleaning tables and countertops, maintain windows and sneeze guards in food court or dining room during down time
    • Adhere to the uniform policy
  •  Required Qualifications

    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
    • Adhere to all HACCP regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Desired Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Previous restaurant experience
  • Physical Demands


    • Inside Job (defined as spending approximately 75% or more of the time inside)
    • Lifting fifty (50) pounds unassisted and more with assistance; frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
    • Reaching, handling, seeing, standing, walking
    • Temperature changes: variations in temperature, which are sufficiently marked and abrupt to cause noticeable bodily reactions.

  • Minimum of one year experience
  • Understanding of basic kitchen sanitation
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
