Job Summary:  The purpose of this job is to help ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils in a clean and sanitized condition.  In addition, this job requires that the employee keep the dishwashing machine station, three compartment sink, and related areas clean.


Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, trays, plates, bowls, glasses, cups, utensils, non-metal pots and pans
  • Clean and sanitize walls and all food service equipment
  • Clean floor during and after service and when needed
  • Steam-Clean or water-hose-wash garbage cans
  • Record dish machine temperatures
  • Follow locker room and other cleaning schedules
  • Ensure all boxes are broken before garbage is taken out
  • Safely operate Dishwashing machine and other cleaning equipment.
  • Safely operate garbage and cardboard compactor to required specifications
  • Ensure all dumpster lids are down and loading dock is clean
  • Check sanitation compartment levels with PH strips and record on log
  • Be aware of inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Be able to plate and serve hot food – limited prep
  • Restock serving lines
  • Wiping tables / maintain clean dining environment for patrons
  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times by practicing Aramark WEST standards with each guest

  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

  • Ability to stand for entire shift, not including break periods
  • Assist other departments when required
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Minimum of one year experience
  • Understanding of basic kitchen sanitation
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
