This position supports management’s annual assessment of the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR) as required under Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act. This assessment includes evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls designated as critical to business processes in both field and headquarters locations. The role includes working with process owners within a business sector to guide them in the preparation and updating of business process narratives, flowcharts and control matrices, managing the ICOFR testing process, evaluating action plans for deficiencies identified for remediation and overseeing the evaluation of unremediated control weaknesses or exceptions to assess whether they represent deficiencies, significant deficiencies or material weaknesses.

The individual is also responsible for coordinating investigation and reporting of potential violations of Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy (BCP) within his/her assigned business sector, conducting exception-based reviews of key balance sheet accounts to prevent and detect fraud and financial reporting errors, and tracking and reporting results in these areas to the AVP, Financial Controls and sector VP of Finance.
