We are seeking candidates for a Consulting Dietitian at Duke University Hospital within the Food Service Department. Reporting to the Patient Services Director, this position will be responsible for managing the menu/diet entry and maintenance in CBORD as well as participate in food service management activities. 

  • Position will work with the Duke Clinical Dietitians to ensure diet compliance.
  • Fields questions from patient food service supervisors and staff regarding diets.
  • Assists in determining substitutions for patient meals.
  • Conducts patient and nurse rounding to drive patient satisfaction.
  • Food Service Management activities with responsibility for a a satellite kitchen and a small staff.
  • Manages patient feeding process, patient satisfaction and quality assurance.
  • Assists with other projects and tasks as assigned.

 



Qualifications:

An experienced Registered Dietitian familiar with modified and therapeutic diets required.

  • Experience working with CBORD or other patient menu system preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills are essential in this role esp. with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe.
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability required.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple and conflicting demands.
